Earlier this week, Apple released its latest operating system, iOS 16, which introduced features that allow users to edit their sent iMessages five times within 15 minutes of sending them. Also can withdraw the message within two minutes of sending.
To use these features, the user has to press and hold the sent message, after which he can choose Edit or Undo Send from the options that appear.
However, the person to whom the message was sent will be notified that the sent message has been retracted or edited but will not be able to see the change.
This feature will be useful only for Apple users, if a person sends messages from iPhone to Android, these features will not work. While these features will work best if the recipient of the message is also using iOS 16. Otherwise, they will receive a weird timeline of changes. SMS messages cannot be edited or withdrawn under these features.
